Oh it is definitely my 4 year-old son who makes me laugh the most. He finds very little value in being serious and is very adept at using humor to resolve tension when I am being overly serious. I remember one night when I was in full on "commander dad" mode telling him that he was already late for bed and he needed to get into his pajamas right this minute. He dutifully obeyed, but came out wearing his pajama bottoms on his head like a jester's hat and asked, "Does this make me look silly" with that mischievous glint in his eye that let's you know that he already knows the answer. He knows how to exploit his father's Achille's heel.

Now of course my 3yr old son..reminds me of a recent laughter he gave me..I said "I am getting old babe..so don't jump on me so harsh and play"...He walked to me and touched my cheeks and said.."Mommy u are not old.. You are just brown and it is ok to be brown..don't feel sad :)" I burst in to laughter..It is amazing how much we learn from these kind of simplest of all pleasures.

Of course Brent! Come on, the boy came into my life to make me laugh on a daily basis. I should probably start a blog or podcast with daily things that Brent say's or does.

I really think it was meant for him to come into my life. I came from, for lack of better word, a rather loud family, lived with an even louder aunt for 3 years, so i really needed in my life some quiet, peace and lots and lots of laughter. I recall the first few days that Brent and I met I had my knee surgery back in 2002 and he would come by my apartment every afternoon to keep me company. The first day he came we talked about how my grandma used to make a soup out of goat feet (I used the word "leg", so Brent imagined this long goat leg sticking out of a pot and my grandma using it to stir the soup; it was the wildest laugh I have ever had). That day I told myself that I would marry that man. :)
